The social networking giant Facebook has hit a huge milestone in Internet history as it became the first website to attract 1,000,000,000,000 page views, according Google's doubleclick Ad Planner statistics that posted the top 1000 most visited website on the Internet.

Facebook took the pole position with a recorded 870,000,000 unique visitors - a reach of 46.9%. In second slot came Google owned YouTube with 790 million unique visitors -- a reach of 42.6% and 100 billion page views.

Yahoo came third with 590 million users and 78 billion views. Microsoft's decision search engine Bing came in at eleventh place, and has attracted 12.4% of Internet users - 9,600,000 users.
