The Update Rollup 1 for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 has officially been released and is available for free download on the Microsoft Download Center.

Livi Rose, PM Intern with the Windows Multipoint Server team stated that there are a range of improvements in Rollup 1 including localization-related enhancements.

"One of the biggest updates that UR1 is bringing is fully localized support for Arabic and Hebrew, bringing our support for a fully immersive desktop and management experience up to 18 different languages. By adding these two languages, we have made it possible for MultiPoint Server 2011 to reach over 350 million more native speakers," Rose said.

There are additional enhancements packed inside Update Rollup 1 for Windows MultiPoint Server 2011, Rose stressed. Microsoft has listened to feedback from customers, and will continue to take input into account when pushing Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 to the next level.

"Update Rollup 1 also includes several updates based on customer and partner feedback, including better support for new devices, improved drive letter management, mouse performance profiles, detection of remote devices, and detection of audio in PS/2 stations," Rose said.

"There were also updates that ensured settings within the MultiPoint Manager, such as Web Limiting or Block All, persist even when the dashboard is not open."
