The new Find my iPhone web application is only live for developers which went live just two days back - until the official launch this fall. The apps offers the same Find my iPhone features that users are accustomed to in the MobileMe version, but within the an all new user interface.

Apple also has made "Find my Mac" availabe within the iCloud.com, that simply is a Find my iPhone for the Mac, hence witha a name "Find my Mac". User can turn this feature on in the iCloud control panel within system preferences and then their Macs will show up on iCloud.com.

Find my Mac offers all of the same Find my iPhone features that are offered for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch: remote locking, remote wiping, playing a sound, and showing a message.

Apple is using Wi-Fi router data in order to pinpoint the user's location and it is fairly accurate.
