Microsoft owns four web sites in the top 10 most visited web sites across the globe this year. According to Google's DoubleClick Ad planner's list of the "1000 most-visited sites on the web," released in april 2011 -- Live.com, MSN.com, Bing.com and Microsoft.com are listed in the top 10.

Apparently Google.com doesn't itself list, but two of its sites made it in the top 10: YouTube.com at number 2 and BlogSpot.com at number 7 were listed. Despited this, Google .com becomes the first company to welcome 1 billion unique visitors to its websites in a single month.

The top spot was occupied by Facebook.com.

According to Google, the number one web site in the world with the most traffic is, not surprisingly, the social networking site Facebook which Google says has 880 million unique visitors. Earlier this week it was reported via third party sources that Facebook now has 750 million users.
