For all, Australia based Windows Azure developers -- Windows Azure team in Australia with Lifehacker, Gizmodo launched "My Concept Rules" developer contest to find great new cloud project ideas that leverages the power of Windows Azure.

All you've to do is submit your great idea (no code required) for an amazing app that leverages Azure. Developers with the best, most feasible concept as determined by judging panel will get $40,000 in backing to help get their project off the ground.

Top prize also includes:

  • Consulting with Azure Technical Specialist and Azure MVP, Steven Nagy, who'll help flesh out your idea, build a proof of concept and get your app on the road to reality.
  • A six-month subscription to Azure and SQL Azure so you can continue developing your idea.
  • An ad package with Lifehacker and Gizmodo to help spread the word that your app is live!

Several runner-up prizes are also available, including the latest Xbox 360 with Kinect Console and two tickets to Remix 2011 in Sydney.
