Apple's CEO, Steven Jobs, has finally agreed to an official book on his life entitled "iSteve: The Book of Jobs". CBS owned company, Simon & Schuster will be publishing the book sometime in the first quarter of 2012.

The book will be written by Walter Isaccson who has spent nearly three years on the piece with the full cooperation of Jobs and will also be featuring interviews with "members of his family, colleagues at Apple and competitors."

Simon & Schuster, Jonathan Karp, said in a statement "This is the perfect match of subject and author, and it is certain to be a landmark book about one of the world's greatest innovators.," "Just as he did with Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, Walter Isaacson is telling a unique story of revolutionary genius."

Quite a few Steve Jobs biographies already exist. This Jobs book will be his fourth major biography. In addition to Kissinger: A Biography (1992) he has written Benjamin Franklin: An American Life (2003) and Einstein: His Life and Universe (2007). His most recent book is American Sketches: Great Leaders, Creative Thinkers, and Heroes of a Hurricane (2009).

During 2005, Apple banned any publications by "John Wiley & Sons" from its store, as the publisher had tried to sell the unauthorized biography "iCon: Steve Jobs, The Greatest Second Act in the History of Business"

Isaacson, who is currently the CEO of the Aspen Institute in Washington DC, already has a couple of best sellers under his belt, to date he has written well received books about Albert Einstein, Einstein: His Life and Universe, and Benjamin Franklin, Benjamin Franklin: An American Life.
