Install language packs using Windows Update for Windows 7 and Windows Vista; "You can get additional language packs easily by using Windows Update. Once you turn on Windows Update, you can choose which languages you want to install (language packs do not update automatically)."

Here's how you do it:

To install language packs using Windows 7

  1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then, in the search box, type Windows Update
  2. In the list of results, click Windows Update
  3. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
  4. If any updates are found, click Select optional updates
  5. Select the language pack that you want, and then click OK
  6. Click Install updates. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To install language packs using Windows Vista

  1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update
  2. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
  3. If any updates are found, click View available updates
  4. Select the language pack that you want, and then click Install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation."
