The Office Web Apps are now live in 18 new countries in Central and South America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

The rollout to Central and South America marks global grand finale, making the Web Apps available worldwide in more than 190 countries that can access Office Web apps through Hotmail.

Out of approximately 2 billion internet users worldwide: 750 million of them using Microsoft Office, and 30 million using Office Web Apps.

Office Web Apps brings Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote to the web browser, via a Hotmail/Live ID account. Apps can be uploaded from Office on the desktop, or edited and shared from within the browser.
