Microsoft re-launched "Professional Advisory Services," a comprehensive collection of 140 FREE self-help packages resources designed to help you get through a variety of problems related to Windows, Office, Internet Explorer, the company's server products, etc.
Issues covered by the self-help resources range from design, to development and deployment, but also focus on security and performance, according to Microsoft's Rachel Collier.
The resources "enable you to proactively meet your infrastructure needs for some of the more common advisory service scenarios," Collier explained.
Typical cases involve providing recommendations and best practices for design, development and deployment, leveraging Microsoft Products and Technologies. The delivery time for Advisory Services is generally 10 hours or less and consists of a specific service scope.
It's designed for Developers, IT Professionals and SMB customers who do not require traditional onsite consulting or sustained account management services that are available from other Microsoft support options," she added.
