Microsoft today announced that Spaces bloggers have created over 1 million new blogs on WordPress.com. "We're excited to announce that between blog upgrades and new signups, Spaces bloggers have created over 1 million new blogs on WordPress.com since we began our partnership."

"In September this year, Microsoft announced a partnership with WordPress.com to let customers connect their Windows Live Spaces blog with WordPress.com services."

In November last year, Microsoft said that, "over half a million Spaces blogs have now migrated to WordPress.com."

"On top of that, nearly half a million additional Live customers have decided to create entirely new blogs on WordPress.com. And for each of those nearly 1 million new people now blogging on WordPress.com, there're, of course, many more new blog visitors also now going to WordPress.com," added Microsoft.

In addition to this blog and notifications on Spaces pages, we'll be sending around another email newsletter this week to remind customers that haven't upgraded yet. If you've been a bit hesitant to get started or have questions, you can read more on our help forums.

So if you still haven't upgraded your blogging experience, please get moving quickly as we're down to the last few weeks before we finally close down Windows Live Spaces.
