Foursquare today announced that the location based social networking app is now available in five more languages: French, Italian, Spanish, German and Japanese. Even the badges have been translated! This is a big deal for Foursquare's business, because they're now getting checkins from users in nearly 200 different countries, and businesses in those countries want to offer deals in the local language.
Getting foursquare to work in your language is easy: just update foursquare on your Blackberry, iPhone, or Android, and it'll switch foursquare to the default language of your device. (And the website will soon be translated, too.) Foursquare's web interface is still all in English, but that's due to go multilingual soon as well.
