CodeMash is a unique event that educates developers on current practices, methodologies, and technology trends in a variety of platforms and development languages such as Java, .Net, Ruby, Python and PHP.

On January 13th, Microsoft streamed the worldwide Enter the WebMatrix event live from CodeMash! Below you'll find a number recordings now available on Channel 9.

You'll learn how WebMatrix makes it easier to create and deploy websites on Windows using the most popular community applications for ASP.NET and PHP. You'll also learn how new features in ASP.NET make it even easier for you to build and customize web applications.

“Already, 350+ Hosters have become a WebMatrix spotlight partner and are being featured in the Microsoft Web Hosting Gallery, since its launch, January 14th, 2011,” revealed Microsoft’s M. Omer Siddiqui.

Developers need only to check out the Microsoft Web Hosting Gallery, and find a variety of hosting providers that provide servers running Microsoft technologies for WebMatrix sites, but not only.

Specifically, the technology requirements needed to obtain the “Spotlight” badge are: SQL Server 2008, ASP.NET 4.0, MVC 2.0, URL Rewrite, IIS Remote Management, Web Deploy, WebPI pre-installed (valid only for Virtual or Dedicated hosting offers).

In the future, Web Matrix publishing test will also be required. In addition to the technology requirements, an offer also needs to provide 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support guarantee in order to be eligible for the “Spotlight” badge,” Microsoft revealed.
