The FCC certified the Creative Zen Touch 2, an Android 2.1 powered PMP with a 3.2 inch resistive touchscreen, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, 2MP camera and an FM radio tuner.

Exhaustive teardown also revealed a "vibrator" module and an 1150mAh battery contained within its plasticky walls. If you're in the UK, you can have one of Zen Touch 2 "standard" and "enhanced" editions portable music players shipped to you tomorrow, but the US online store only lists it by name and doesn't yet have a full page for it.

Creative's Zen Touch 2

If reports are true, Creative's offering will break the $200 mark. Let's compare the pricing:

Apple's offering 8GB iPod Touch with current iOS, high-quality "retina" capacitive touchscreen and dual cameras (with the rear camera offering 720p video recording), for $229. Creative is selling a Zen Touch 2 at the same storage capacity, with an inferior 3.2 inch resistive touchscreen, an outdated version of the Android OS (no word if it'll have access to Android Market; typically, Android PMPs don't), one camera for around $230 (£149 at the Creative website).
