The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) has now launched "apache-extras.org," a separate instance of Project Hosting specifically for ASF-related projects to congregate around.

Apache Extras is a community of open source projects related to Apache Software Foundation projects or based on their technology. It provides the infrastructure services typically required by open source projects, such as code repositories, bug tracking, project web sites/wiki. Apache Extras is hosted by Google Code Project Hosting, so it'll be very familiar to developers already using Google Code Project Hosting.

"By working under a common logo and domain name, we hope these projects can gain more visibility and grow into their own thriving community," stated the ASF team.

All projects hosted on Apache Extras agreed to the standard Google Code Project Hosting terms of use and the Apache Extras User Guidelines.

If you already have a project on Google Code and would like to migrate it to the apache-extras instance, you can fill out request form.
