Microsoft today morning opened a new store at "Bellevue Square" -- the seventh in its retail chain and the first in its backyard -- and thousands of people crowded into the mall for the occasion. Of course, being a chance to score Miley Cyrus tickets.
Also, Steve Ballmer was in his element, leading the festivities leading up to the big unveiling, and cheering and slapping hands as the first people filed in to the store.
Front and center as people walk into the new Microsoft store is the new Dell 'Duo' hybrid tablet computer, a notebook with a touch screen that flips around in its case to work as a slate-style device. It's one of the devices that Microsoft and PC makers will be offering as iPad alternatives for the holidays. Brad Brooks, said the machine will be sold exclusively in Microsoft retail stores and online, calling it an example of how Microsoft and its partners can use the store to showcase what they've to offer.
