Google Chrome is the first browser that's regularly automatically updating, most people use the latest version of the software a few days after it's released, thus keeping track of the version number is meaningles. Now, that Chrome 7 focuses on "hundreds of bug fixes", while Chrome 8 enables the internal PDF viewer.

The PDF document will load as quickly and seamlessly as a normal web page in the browser within the "sandbox" to help protect you from malware and security attacks targeted at PDF files.

For now, the Chrome PDF viewer is available only in the beta channel, but we look forward to adding more polish and features, as well as making it widely available in the stable channel soon.

This release also contains a new version of Flash.
