The two Google cofounders Larry Page and Sergey Brin both had the early idea of having current Apple CEO Steve Jobs as the company's first CEO instead of Eric Schmidt in a report out today directly from an episode of Bloomberg's Game Changers documentaries with this one following the success of the two cofounders and the building of the empire along the way.

The documentary, which runs at just over 45 minutes tells viewers that the pair interviewed 12 or 13 candidates, none of whom caught their eye. It was then that they made a trip to Apple to visit Steve Jobs; someone who they said was a personal hero of theirs. It was after this meeting that they both said to investor John Doerr "Why can't we hire that guy".
