Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 website debuted over the weekend, and one of the app icons pictured was Rovio's uber-popular smash hit game, "Angry Birds" currently available on iOS (iPhone and iPod Touch) and Android.

The official Rovio Twitter account posted that it's "not committed" to developing for Windows Phone 7 and that MS used the Angry Birds icon without permission. The icon has now been removed from Microsoft's site.

Rovio Mobile say they haven't committed to bringing its bestselling iPhone and Android game to WinP7, and probably are put off a little bit now with Microsoft already placing their icon on WP7 site. Rovio does mention that they could do a WP7 version, however they're going to wait and see if the platform gains enough support to justify porting the app.
