Motorla launches its 3.7" touchscreen Defy on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," the number one daytime talkshow, which just entered its 25th year on the air. The Defy is Motorola's second ruggedized Android handset, following the iDEN-connected i1, and it'll be available exclusively on T-Mobile later this year. It isn't a mil-spec device, but is scratch, dust, and water resistant, and has dual microphones and CrystalTalk PLUS for noise filtration, so it could still stand alongside the i1 on job sites.

It runs MotoBLUR-enhanced Android, has a 5 megapixel flash camera, and is DLNA-certified. Motorola hasn't yet launched the full specs for the device, which would tell the processor speed and which version of Android it'll be built upon, but it'll provide more information to interested customers as the holiday launch date approaches.
