Checkout by Amazon (CBA) Enables Customers Checkout Directly on Merchant Websites

Amazon Payments, announced the next generation of "Checkout by Amazon (CBA)" that enables Amazon account holders to make purchases on a merchant's site using their Amazon account credentials without leaving the merchant's site. Consumers can now access their Amazon address book and payment methods directly on a merchant's site. This means fewer steps to checkout for tens of millions of Amazon account holders and reducing the potential for shopping cart abandonment for merchants.

The new version of Checkout By Amazon is already being used by Geeks.com and clothing site WetSeal. Amazon says that this small feature will be able to make the checkout process easier for its "tens of millions of Amazon.com account holders."
