Google added two new gadgets to Blogger in Draft. The data for these gadgets is automatically taken from Blogger Stats. To use them, go to Design | Page Elements, and click on "Add a gadget." The Blog's stats gadget displays total pageviews of your blog (counted from when Stats feature was launched). The gadget comes in different styles and also features an optional sparkline graph.


Popular Posts gadget helps your readers quickly find out which of your posts have been viewed the most by your readers. The gadget also comes with several different styles and configurations.

Additionaly, "Stats for Blogger" received following improvements:

  • Self-view exclusion let you exclude your own pageviews: On Stats | Overview, click "Don't track your own pageviews" link and select "Don't track my pageviews" option. It also exclude traffic coming from Blogger admin pages and post Preview, providing more accurate pageview data.
  • More effective bot traffic filtering with extended list of known "bots or crawlers" to provide more accurate pageviews from real visitors.
  • Internationalization. Blogger Stats is now available in over 40 languages.
