According to Nielsen, MSN/Windows Live/Bing's market share in July 2010 was up to 13.6%, a 51% jump from its 9% market share in July 2009 — which was basically Bing's second month of existence. Google remained relatively static over the past year, while Yahoo!'s share has fallen from 17.1% to 14.3% (delta drop of 2.8% or relative drop of 17%).

The number of searches conducted in U.S. over the last year has decreased by 16% from 10.5 billion in July 2009 to 8.8 billion in July 2010.
