Goolger now allows you to use a new asynchronous Google Analytics JavaScript snippet to verify ownership of your website.

If you already have Analytics set up, verifying ownership is just a click of button. But, you must be the administrator of the site in Google Analytics to verify the site using this method.

Once you've verified ownership, you can add other verified owners quickly and easily through Verification Details page. There's no need for each owner to manually verify ownership.

Also, "improved interface for verification" gives more information about each verification method, including step-by-step instructions for some verification methods. If your domain provider is included, Google walk you through it.

In short, new method gives you four ways to verify you a site in GWT:

  • Add DNS record to your domain's configuration
  • Add meta tag to your site's home page
  • Upload HTML file to your server
  • Link to your Google Analytics account
