Barely one hour after Facebook unveiled "Places," the ACLU of Northern California uploaded a 429-word post titled, "Facebook Places: Check This Out, Before You Check In," the ACLU branch rips the new feature for a perceived lack of user control, complaining (in dramatically bold font) that "in the world of Facebook Places," no" is unfortunately not an option."

In the video below, Facebook's Michael Sharon who says the company has a strong system in place to rapidly accept complaints from users. While there's no set time frame for handling a red flag, he says problems will be dealt with swiftly and often within 24 hours.
