At Gamescom, Microsoft announced that "Kinect for Xbox 360 launching in Europe, Middle East and Africa on November 10, a blockbuster line up of Xbox LIVE games on Windows Phone 7, and new line up of LIVE enabled titles coming to PC this holiday." Users with Xbox LIVE account will be able to access features including "try-before-you-buy demos, Xbox Live leaderboards, turn-based multiplayer, Achievements and more."

Also said that Windows Phone 7 users will be able to access a mobile edition of Xbox Live Marketplace where over 50 games will be available from day one with more added weekly. Early titles include big names such as 'Assassins Creed', 'Fast and Furious 7', iPhone hit 'Flight Control', 'Fruit Ninja', 'Guitar Hero 5' and 'Splinter Cell Conviction' and more. Because the game was already written in XNA Game Studio, the developers were able to bring their game across the Xbox 360 platform to Windows Phone 7 quickly.

In addition to games, also announced enhanced Games hub functionality for WinP7 including a rich avatar experience, messaging using Xbox LIVE and ability to see all your friends' play status, Gamerscore and latest achievements. If you don't have Xbox LIVE account when you purchase a WinP7 you can sign and up and deck out your avatar all from the phone, no Xbox console required!
