Microsoft is set to release Windows Live Essentials 2011 Beta 1 on Tuesday August 17th. According to sources familiar with Microsoft's plans, the second beta will address a range of issues found in last release.

And, it'll also include updated program icons for the suite alongwith some minor feature changes. Microsoft also introduced several new features for Windows Live Photo Gallery, including photo fusing to blend photos together and improved facial recognition.

Microsoft released first beta of Live Essentials on June 23, that includes: Live Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, and Family Safety. All apps now use new ribbon UI and integrate better into Windows 7 by using Jumplists. Windows Live Sync is also included which keeps your files synchronized on the web and across multiple PCs.
