Sony Ericsson's flagship Android smartphone "Xperia X10" is finally coming to US, on August 15. In addition to a 4" crystal clear touch screen display, and 1GHz Snapdragon processor, X10 includes a GPS, an impressive 8.1 megapixel camera with smile detection, face recognition, autofocus and LED flash. The device comes with a 2 GB in-box memory card with expandable memory up to 32 GB. Also, included two signature apps, Mediascape and Timescape, build on the Android platform to enhance the experience for users.

The Canadian model of the phone is still only running Android 1.6 due to Sony's slow update cycle for its bundled software. Hopefully the long awaited update to 2.1 or even 2.2 is in the works for launch, but details are still sparse.

Xperia X10 will be available in black at AT&T stores, for $149.99 after a two-year service agreement and minimum smartphone data plan.
