ISC announced that the "City and County of San Francisco have partnered with HeyGov! to enhance their 311 Customer Service Center offerings. HeyGov! is a completely cloud-hosted Software-as-a-Service "app" that provides a new way for citizens to submit service requests (i.e., potholes, graffiti, street cleaning) directly to a municipality's CRM system through an emerging open standard called Open311."

"HeyGov! is designed with enterprise in mind," says Brian Hearn. The app is completely cloud-hosted on Microsoft Windows Azure platform and utilizes Bing Maps for data visualization. The immersive data driving solution is stored in SQL Azure and integrated with Silverlight map control using MapDotNet UX GIS server technology. "We're really excited about San Francisco's adoption of HeyGov!; it shows the power and viability of online services providing these traditional IT services like geographic information systems in the cloud," adds Hearn.
