StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, has been identified with more pressing faults on the game's official website. Perhaps the most important one is that can send your computer and graphics card into a nuclear meltdown. "Certain screens make your hardware work pretty hard," the site reads, "screens that are light on detail [like a menu screen] may make your system overheat if cooling is overall insufficient." It's a result of the game "drawing the screen quickly."

The workaround is to cap the game's frame rate by digging and adjusting file values. Go to the directory you've Starcraft 2 installed, and locate "variables.txt" file. Possible directory may be this "Documents\StarCraft II\variables.txt". Once you're at the .txt file, add following:

frameratecapglue=30
frameratecap=60

"Also, There have been multiple reports of black screen issues being related to the use of a Quick Cam webcam. In some cases exiting out of the software has resolved the issue but others have reported a need to uninstall the software for the camera in order to resolve the problem."
