Microsoft Technical Fellow Mark Russinovich has joined Windows Azure. "Russinovich is considered one of the foremost experts inside or outside Microsoft. He was co-founder of Winternals Software in 1996 — a company which Microsoft acquired in 2006. He also co-founded Sysinternals.com, for which he's written dozens of Windows utilities, including Filemon, Regmon, Process Explorer, Rootkit Revealer and more. Prior to that, Russinovich was a resarcher at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center, specializing in operating-system support for Web-server acceleration."

The announcement of Russinovich revealed throug a tweet from Matthijs Hoekstra: "Hey Russinovich moved to the windows azure team."

Microsoft hasn't made any official announcement yet.
