At WPC, Tami Reller, detailed the tremendous partner opportunity with Windows 7 and announced "the beta release of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1," which enhance the deployment and management of virtualized desktop infrastructure.

Reller also emphasized the role of cloud in Windows and announced 2nd public beta of Windows Intune, that uses the best of both Windows cloud services and Windows 7 to manage and help secure PCs —Which's now available to "10,000 accounts and expanded to US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, UK, and Italy."

Also annnounced the pricing -- "Windows Intune will include the cloud management service with integrated antimalware (AV and antispyware) plus Windows 7 Enterprise upgrade rights all in a single subscription for $11 USD per PC, per month." Also, for an "additional dollar per PC, per month, customers can subscribe to Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP), that complete what Windows Intune can do from cloud.
