Anchor Intelligence Traffic Quality Report: Q2 2010 provides the online advertising industry with insight into the magnitude of traffic quality issues observed by Anchor Intelligence. "The report claim that click fraud rate for Q210 was 28.9%, slightly down from Q110, which was 29.2%. Yet significantly up from the Q2 2009, which was 26%."



And, the innocuous invalid rate decreased drastically from 7.0% in Q1 to 0.9% in Q2, representing a 87.4% decrease.

Anchor suggests "the click fraud rate remains to be high due to "dramatic growth in botnet scale and volume around the globe as well as continued exploitation by malicious hosts of security vulnerabilities in Internet infrastructure of countries such as Vietnam, Australia, and U.S."
