The final version of .NET Framework 4 has been available for quite some time now, however, there's "one aspect which needs to be taken into consideration. When installed on 64-bit (x64) copies of Windows, .NET Framework 4 requires no less than "2 GB of free hard disk space"." Any less, and the deployment will simply fail with error code 0x80070643 or error code 0x643 [KB958052]," revealed Jeremy Jameson.

"It still seems a little shocking that nearly 2 GB of disk space can be subsequently consumed after installing a 48.1 MB download, but I did, in fact, end up with a mere 107 MB of free space after installing .NET Framework 4 on [the] server," Jameson stated.
