ASUS' new cloud storage service, "ASUS Web Storage," available to all Windows Home Server owners, and Android smartphones, giving users the option to upload media from their phones to the cloud, view text files and stream music and video to the device. A client for iPhone OS is expected towards the end of July.

Here's a run-down of the features in detail:

  • Upload photos from your phone's camera, audio recordings, text, and files and folders from an SD Card directly to cloud. Once uploaded, content can be set to sync automatically with your home server or PC.
  • Music and video can be browsed and searched, with the ability to repeat and shuffle tracks within the media player.
  • A variety of popular document formats will be transcoded on the fly to a format readable on the phone: Hyper Text Markup Language – .html / .htm; XML and Derived Formats – .xml; Microsoft Office document formats – .xls / .ppt / .doc / .xlsx / .pptx / .docx; OpenDocument Format – .odt / .ods / .odp; Portable Document Format – .pdf; Electronic Publication Format – .epub; Rich Text Format – .rtf.
