"This documentation describes how Internet Explorer implements certain final approved web standards and how standards in this system interact. It doesn't restate variations, extensions and other details that're specific for each standard. This documentation details variations and extensions from HTML 4.01, CSS 1.0, CSS 2.1, and other final approved web standards published by W3C (as "W3C Recommendations"), ECMA (as "Standards"), or ISO (as "International Standards") as implemented by IE. This documentation is intended for use in conjunction with Microsoft standards support documents, publicly available standard specifications, network programming art, and Microsoft Windows distributed systems concepts. It assumes that reader is either familiar with aforementioned material or has immediate access to it," Microsoft revealed.
