For past five years Corporate Counsel magazine has conducted an annual review to identify country’s top in-house legal teams. This week, Corporate Counsel has “named Microsoft Legal and Corporate Affairs the Best Legal Department of 2010. Corporate Counsel has published a lengthy story that includes video interview with Brad Smith, as well as commentary from Corporate Counsel Executive Editor Brian Zabcik on the magazine’s selection process and the editors’ reasons for naming Microsoft this year’s winner,” writes David Bowermaster.

Also, Microsoft has been deemed as the Best Large Workplace in Europe 2010 by the Great Place to Work Institute for the third year running. The Great Place to Work Institute conducted an evaluation survey of in excess of 1,300 companies in no less than 17 markets across Europe. The results of the 100 Best Workplaces in Europe report as well as the awards for companies were unveiled during a gala ceremony at Great Place to Work European Conference 2010 in Madrid on May 20, 2010.
