“If System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 (SCVMM) has PRO integration with Operations Manager enabled, in certain situations the administrator console may take a long time to load and the memory footprint of vmmadmin.exe may become excessively large. Cause: This can occur if there’re too many PRO tips in the SCVMM database. During the initial load of the SCVMM administrator console we also load all PRO tips into the UI, both active and completed, thus potentially causing this issue,” explains Microsoft in KB2027023. Even though the Jobs view has a built-in grooming cycle, the PRO tips table doesn’t. To purge some of the completed PRO tips from the database use the SQL script in KB article: 2027023 - The System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 administrator console may take a long time to load.
