The Google Android mobile operating system continued to shake up the US mobile phone market in first quarter of 2010, moving past Apple to take the number-two position among smartphone operating systems, at 28% behind RIM’s OS (36%) and ahead of Apple’s OS (21%), revealed NPD’s wireless market research. However, the numbers also showed the Redmond company's Windows Mobile operating system dropping to No. 4 in the market, with 10 percent market share.
