Google rolls out more improvements to ‘Top Search Queries’ in Webmaster Tools:

  • "Top Search Queries" is now called "Search Queries". In addition, now showing an "Average position" column right on main Search Queries page, provides a ‘quick at-a-glance’ of your site ranking in search results for specific queries.
  • "Displaying" number for Impressions & Clicks, represents a total count of ‘data displayed’ in Search Queries table. The number in bold just above, is a total count of all queries including "long tail" --not displayed in Search Queries table. When "Displaying" number isn’t visible, when you select specific country from "All countries" drop-down menu, then the bold number is the total count of the data displayed in Search Queries table.
  • Added an Average position column to Search Queries download.
  • "Starred" tab next to each Query on Search Queries page is now a clickable. You can click star icon for all of the queries that interest you most. Queries that you "star" will be consolidated under Starred tab providing a super easy way to view just the queries you care about.
