Nokia unveiled its latest smartphone the “Nokia N8,” packed with a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, HD-quality video recording, film editing software, Dolby surround sound, Symbian 3 software and 3.5" capacitive touch screen. N8 is Nokia's latest attempt at a portable entertainment centre. N8 also includes HDMI output, 16GB internal storage with a microSD expansion slot and HD video recording. N8 is backed by a full range of services including Nokia's Ovi store and Ovi Maps navigation software. Symbian 3 also supports multitouch gestures like pinch to zoom. HD video recording will allow the device to record at 720p HD resolution and with the inbuilt HDMI port consumers can play their footage on large screen TVs. N8 will go on sale later this year priced at €370 (before tax).
