Logitech announced the availability of “Squeezebox Touch,” a touchscreen-enabled version of their popular Squeezebox digital music receiver. $299/£249 buys you the device which packs a 4.3” colour touchscreen, support Wi-Fi and Ethernet, and new to Squeezebox range, a USB port and SD slot for playing back music directly on device. Squeezebox touch plays a wide variety of music formats including MP3, FLAC, WMA, WMA Lossless, AAC, Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF. New to Squeezebox is a growing range of apps, including content from online services such as Amazon, BBC Radio, CBC, DI.fm, Facebook, Flickr, Last.fm, Live365, Pandora, RadioTime, SHOUTcast and more. Tying in with new hardware is the release of a new version of controlling Squeezebox Server software, including Windows Home Server add-in, which reaches version 7.5.
