Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 Beta, a suite of productivity applications for Windows Mobile 6.5 phones, expired on April 5, 2010. “If you installed Office Mobile 2010 Beta on your Windows Mobile 6.5 device, then this does impact you. As of April 5th, you are unable to launch the Office Mobile applications on your phone. If your phone came with Office Mobile 6.1 pre-installed, then uninstalling Office Mobile 2010 Beta should resolve the issue as it’ll revert your phone to older version of Office Mobile. If your phone didn’t come with Office Mobile 6.1, then you’ll first need to uninstall Office Mobile 2010 Beta and then re-install older version. For small number of Windows phones that didn’t have Office Mobile 6.1 preinstalled, it’s available here for purchase. If I uninstall Office Mobile 2010 Beta, will I lose my documents? No, uninstalling Office Mobile 2010 Beta willn’t delete or alter any documents. Office Mobile 2010 will be available for download through Windows Marketplace for Mobile at the same time as the Office 2010 suite in June 2010,” revealed Microsoft.
