Microsoft has on TechNet labs posted a great lab for Implementing VDI with Citrix XenDesktop on Hyper-V R2, using a number of tools such as SCVMM. Lab is intended for IT Pros who would like to deliver virtual desktop computers using Hyper-V Server, System Center Virtual Machine Manager and Citrix XenDesktop. Users’ll work through steps to simulate deploying multiple virtual desktops, and will first capture a reference image using Citrix Provisioning Server for Desktops. Next, the user’ll verify that computer can be booted from a diskless client computer. User’ll create multiple VMs using reference computer as a template. Finally, user’ll use Citrix Desktop Delivery Controller and SCVMM to create a group of VDs and deploy them to end devices. At the end of this lab, user’ll have worked through all the steps required to implement Citrix XenDesktop using Microsoft SCVMM and Hyper-V Server.
