In the meantime, here’re a few highlights of what’s new and coming from Bing Maps:

Bing Maps World Tour app gives you a release by release breakdown of all published imagery updates. There’re 4 tabs in welcome panel "Welcome tab is a text-based overview of app. Highlights tab is a quick view at some of notable places where imagery was released for respective release. Filter tab allows you to view all of the imagery for selected release by either continent or type, and Other Releases tab gives you access to previous releases. So, if you want to see imagery updates for Aug 2009 click Other Releases tab and select Aug, 2009". More info here.

Oodle Rentals app displays rental properties around US. After loading app, enter a location in search box and you’ll be zipped over to respective location with available rentals popped right onto map. As you navigate map the search results’ll dynamically change just as they do with native Bing Maps Search. Each listing will be populated into left-hand panel with photo, price, type of rental, address and number of bedrooms and bathrooms. Clicking “Full Details” link take you to an Oodle.com listing. You can also filter results from Refine Search tab and specifying price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms. More info here.

foursquare Everywhere is a new Bing Maps app that pulls foursquare data into Bing Maps to visualize check-ins, tips, badges and mayor coronations from foursquare APIs. On loading the map, you’ll see tips from users who’ve tagged a specific location with additional contextual information. Then, you’ll see massive stream of information flowing onto map and in panel to left. Data includes check-ins, tips, badge awards and mayorships. More info here.
