The much-talked-about mobile versions of Firefox (Maemo, Android) Android edition of Mozilla's browser has hit Android forums as a pre-release download. It isn’t feature-complete yet, but it does’ve a bookmark manager and support some add-ons. Brad Linder says that the build that's going around right now is optimized for Droid, and doesn't run quite so smoothly on Nexus One. He also points out that you'll need to copy the .apk file to your phone's SD card and use a file explorer app to complete the install. It's called "GeckoApp," by the way, which’s a reference to the Gecko rendering engine used in Firefox.
