comScore reporting key trends in the U.S. mobile phone industry during the three month period between October 2009 and January 2010 “Microsoft's Windows Mobile phones usage in the U.S. fell 4% points, to 15.7%, between the three months ended in Oct and the three months ended in Jan. Google's Android was the big gainer for the period -- seeing its market share rise to 7.1%, from 2.8% previously. Apple's iPhone experienced a small gain, edging above 25%, from 24.8% before. Palm fell to 5.7%, from 7.8% previously. Google’s Android platform continues to see rapid gains in market share.”
