Last week, Google added ‘Edit places’ to its Maps program to let you edit listing through the Place Page. But sometimes you may find a place in Google Maps isn't quite positioned. So Google added a map marker edit to Street View images to make editing much easier. Here’s how editing feature works: “When you find a place in a wrong location, click on marker and get an infowindow open as what you did before. Click on "edit" link, and then click "Move marker" link in updated infowindow. You'll see two jumping markers in map and Street View image appear, which means both of them can be dragged. When you drag marker on map to a new position, marker inside the panorama will be updated correspondingly, and vice versa. Since you view a street-level image where the marker will be placed, it's not difficult to find exact spot in the image and place the marker to the right position. After editing, click "Save" button above Street View panorama. You can always hit "Cancel" button.”
