In honor of the International Mother Language Day 2010, Microsoft announced 59 new Language Interface Packs (LIPs) that’ll be available for Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 in the coming months. Language Interface Packs are different from the 35 Language Packs available today with Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 7 Ultimate. Language Interface Packs are free-of-charge and only translates around 400,000 terms. They can also be used on any edition of Windows 7. We are also releasing an additional 4 Language Packs for Visual Studio as well! These new offerings are in addition to the 178 downloads available in 67 different languages for which there are already LIPs and CLIPs for earlier versions of Windows, Office and Visual Studio.
