A spokesperson of the Canadian Office of the Privacy Commissioner said that they’re now investigating whether Google Buzz is indeed violating or may have violated Canadian privacy laws. “Valerie Lawton, a spokesperson for the office, said on Tuesday that Buzz is being investigated to see whether it violates Canadian privacy laws. “We understand the public concern about privacy issues related to Google Buzz,” she said. “Our office is looking at the issue.” Google’s Canada office currently talking with federal and provincial privacy officials to address these concerns and assured everyone that they’re moving to implement changes as quick as they can. “We’ll be making some significant product improvements over the next few days based on user feedback,” Google Canada’s spokeperson Wendy Rozeluk said.
