Google released the most recent satellite imagery of Haiti, taken at approximately 10:27am EST on Jan 13, available as a KML overlay for Google Earth. You can download KML file and open it in Google Earth, or look at via browser plug-in. You can also open file in Google Maps. As you'll see, the imagery shows a powerful glimpse into the destruction in Haiti. “Many of the non-profits in the Google Grants program are taking part in the relief efforts for the earthquake in Haiti. We'd like to call attention to some of them so that you can get involved, offer support and learn more about the effects of the earthquake,” stated Google Grants blog. Also, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake’s footage of the disaster has been streaming onto YouTube.
